Is there anything better than Synthetic Oil?

This is a site about using synthetic oil so why would I talk heresy by asking? Well, because there is. Well, kinda.

If you can afford a Tesla or drive less than 70 miles a day you can buy an B.E.V. (Battery Electric Vehicle).

In a BEV there is no need for almost any lubrication products. There is no need for motor oil, transmission fluid or differential fluid. None.

Every 10k miles or so BEV’s need their tires rotated and the steering linkage inspected. Tesla charges about $500 for their once a year pre-paid maintenance.

I just bought a Ford Focus Electric. It lists rotating tires, checking brake wear and fluid levels but that’s the coolant for the battery pack, and brake fluid. You do need to check the brakes for wear as well but if you drive your EV properly the engine does 90% of the braking.

But, if you don’t have an electric car then the way to do the least maintenance is to use a Synthetic product like Amsoil. Amsoil has a 25,000 mile once a year oil. Stop wasting our natural resources by changing your oil every 3-6 months. Plus your engine will run cooler, cleaner and last longer as well.
